grelhados&acompanhados restaurant

the program: a fast food place with grilled food and accompaniments located in the rivera center, a shopping centre dedicated to fast food. 

the clients: a generation with new concerns about food that are looking for a healthier alternative to baguettes, hamburgers and pizzas. 

the objective: to offer a classic product, very close to traditional portuguese gastronomy, with a current and contemporary image. 

the proposal - 3 elements 

the kitchen: a laboratory of food preparation, which contrasts the food with the black of the walls and the stainless steel of the equipment. the line of light over the kitchen work tops illuminates the food preparation. 

the plane of glass: an identification and separation element between the public and the kitchen. this plane is designed as a shop window that frames the preparation giving more importance to the grilled food area. 

the bar: the timber element, a warm material, comfortable to touch, the introduction of colour and texture in the relationship with the public. 

space, light, visibility/opacity, warm and cold materials define a contemporary image that by its simplicity stands out in an environment where everything is excessive.
